About Us

Costa Rica Tours was born from the story of a tour guide who traveled throughout Costa Rica from its very roots, training directly in the field and learning from each region of the country. The first steps took place in Monteverde, one of the world’s leading ecotourism destinations, where a solid foundation was built in environmental interpretation and responsible tourism. From there, the journey continued guiding in iconic regions such as Rincón de la Vieja in Guanacaste, Corcovado on the South Pacific coast, and Costa Rica’s Caribbean region, expanding a deep understanding of ecosystems, biodiversity, and local culture.

Throughout this journey, experience was developed in multiple areas of nature and adventure tourism, including canopy tours, rope and cable activities, canyoning, night walks, coffee and chocolate tours, as well as the interpretation of trails, hanging bridges, and cloud forests, rainforests, and dry forests. This process was supported by continuous training alongside biologists and industry professionals, as well as the acquisition of licenses and certifications in cables and ropes, naturalism, and general tour guiding. Over the years, this path enabled a deep and authentic understanding of the country’s biodiversity, local communities, and the responsible operation of tourism experiences, always grounded in real, hands-on practice and supported by more than 15 years of experience in the field.

All of this practical knowledge, gained directly in the field and shared with travelers from around the world, was consolidated in La Fortuna de San Carlos, one of the most important and internationally recognized tourist destinations in the world. It was there that Costa Rica Tours began to take shape, founded on a model of ecotourism focused on conservation, respect for nature, and the quality of each experience. Today, Costa Rica Tours is built on real-world experience, operational excellence, and a genuine commitment to showcasing the very best of Costa Rica, positioning itself as a trusted pillar within the country’s tourism industry.
